Wah Taj!

I've realised it's the most predictable thing to capture the Taj Mahal, one of the most famous gifts from India to the world, in the landscape shot, gathering the entire magnitude of the monument at one go. Okay, so I don't exactly claim to be a great landscape photographer, but I picked up some interesting angles. After all, god lies in the details, right? :)

Life in motion

This fast life! Travelling at the speed of light...from right under your nose!

Another one of my favourites; the comic poster is really becoming an obsession! ;)

Poster Perfect!

My new fetish - poster photography. The great thing about it is that you can experiment with a lot of colours and themes and effects and practically go crazy!

Summer!

Delhi is turning dizzy hot! The temperature is soaring and the glasses are getting taller!

Shining brass kadhai - strung together dozens in a row. The epitome of flea markets in India.

TEMP - TING! There is nothing more reviving than a steaming cup of beans! And so I found myself clicking my happy cup (and bites) till I licked it clean...well almost! :)

Btw...those muffins are heavenly. Yay for the Latte!

The modest press-iron of the modest local dhobi. The piece of iron looked heavy, and heavy of heart too - worn  out and weary from years of use. The last I saw of it, it was billowing some steam on the ironing table on a piece of cloth, maybe in aggressive objection to be made to work any more ;)

I like the obvious confusion in these two pictures. There is so much kitsch in the capture that it actually takes a while to figure what we are looking at.

I love playing with light and shadow. I love it when the lights blur out. But I've been unable to achieve a good Bokeh effect; though I'm working towards it :)

Humayun's tomb, New Delhi, and a giggly someone caught in the moment :)

I am a sucker for Black & White photography. Somehow it has a very soothing, old-world charm to it. I can look at them for hours!

Everything that glimmers is not gold. I loved these sparkly mirrors! They happened to be hung in file; and looked like they were reflecting a million things around!

A memory card can never capture it the way your memory can. But it's the next best thing. Surajkund Mela' 11, is a spectacular riot of colours. There's always a splash of it lurking in a corner somewhere; like this one: careless stacks of colourful silks and brocade. A crime to not capture!
